Hawke’s – Dead & Berried Cider

The BrewDog pack came with a couple London ciders I’ve never heard of! Clear with no head retention, smells of berries: black, rasp, and blue. The taste is sweet and mildly tart with flavors of strawberry, raspberry, and gummy bears on a medium body. The finish is short and tart (but not puckering) with notes of blueberry, grape must, and mineral water. Overall, this is an excellent cider. I’m not usually a huge fan a berry flavored things, but this is a great mix of berry flavors and just the right amount of tartness to keep you coming back for more. (Tonight’s Stone review is Scorpion Bowl IPA)
