I review the beers I drink

Stone – Features & Benefits IPA

So I picked up the Stone 12 Days of IPAs pack (and also the BrewDog Holiday Mix, but I’ve already reviewed the first beer out of that pack, Clockwork Tangerine), and I’ll be doing a Stone/BrewDog 12 Days of Christmas reviews! Oh, and for some reason all the Stone bottle labels are upside down…

Crystal clear with minimal head retention, smells of soggy grains, garlic, and soft citrus. The taste is crisp and clean with flavors following the nose of garlic and lemon on a light, kinda watery body. The finish is long and low to moderate in bitterness, featuring notes of lemon zest, floral, and herbal hops. Overall, I’ve had worse light beers (this one is “gluten reduced,” low carb, and low calorie) but the aroma and taste of this leave much to be desired. Hopefully the rest of the pack is more enjoyable than this.
