I review the beers I drink

Goose Island – Bourbon County Brand Stout 2020

Flashlight shows absolutely nothing, no head retention, smells of bourbon, chocolate, and vanilla. The taste is lightly sweet with a subtle breadiness and notes of dark chocolate, smoke, and bourbon on slick, syrupy body. The finish is long and boozy with a low to moderate bitterness and notes of smoke, bourbon, and herbal hops. Overall, it’s a delicious beer, and extraordinarily drinkable for it’s ABV, however it’s also a bit one-dimensional, with a chocolate and bourbon character dominating the entire experience.
