I’ve been reluctant to get into the world of wine due to costs and my passion for seeking out the best, but I was sent a case of Maynard James Keenan wine for my birthday, so time to get my feet wet!
Pours a very pale honey hue, smells of apple, pear, and jasmine. The taste is bright and lightly acidic with notes of pear and honey on a light body. The finish is fairly dry with notes of citrus fruit, jasmine rice, and melon. Overall, I like it. I really don’t have much to draw comparisons with here, but it’s very light and fruity without being overly sweet, and the acidity adds a nice level of complexity to the experience.
