Allagash – River Trip

Just took a trip out to Maine, got lots of cool stuff to review coming up! Anyway, this is moderately hazy with light head retention, smells of floral hops, grass, and Belgian yeast. The taste is crisp with peppery grains and toasted bread on a light body with a hint of lemon underneath it all. The finish is long and moderately bitter with herbal, spicy, and citrus zest hop notes along with a hint of yeasty funk. Overall, it’s a very nice session beer with excellent complexity and a good balance.
