The Imperial version of Hold On To Sunshine; flashlight shows nada, no real head retention, smells of coffee and a chocolate peanut butter cup. The taste is crisp and exploding with roasted coffee and smoky malt flavors, on an incredibly thick body, thicker than the carbonation; underneath a sweet, syrupy, chocolate and peanut butter bonanza rides upon your tongue. The finish is long and low in bitterness with subtle herbal hops, coffee, dark chocolate, and smoke all showing through. Overall, this is an absolutely exquisite beer. Even better than Hold On To Sunshine, with all the same flavors, just fuller.
