Flashlight shows a deep ruby color and great head retention, smells of coffee, dark chocolate, and alcohol. The taste is semi-sweet, with notes of crisp smoky malts, rich coffee, and subtly sweet dark chocolate, all on a smooth and creamy body. The finish is long and moderately bitter, with notes of herbal, pine, and spicy hops. Overall, this is a fantastic porter, very complex and perfectly balanced.
