Flashlight shows a hazy garnet color with light head retention, smells of chocolate, roast malt, and Belgian yeast. The taste is semi-sweet with notes of dark chocolate, caramel, and toasted bread with yeast undertones on a full body. The finish is long but low in bitterness, with notes of herbal and spicy hops along with residual chocolate and yeast flavors. Overall, this is a very good beer, very smooth and drinkable despite the complexity, though I do think I prefer La Résolution.
