I review the beers I drink

Alchimiste – India Pale Ale

I’m always excited for a new Alchemist IPA! (Just not that Alchemist)

Just a touch of haze and minimal head retention, smells of toasted malts, caramel, and a hint of cherry. The taste is crisp and a little spicy, with lots of hop oil on the tongue somewhat in contrast to the medium body. The finish is long and high in bitterness, with mostly herbal hop notes, but also a touch of spicy hop, pine, and citrus peel underneath. Overall, it feels a bit heavy handed on the hops for my palate; still drinkable but I’d like a bit more balance here.
