Dave Drinks Beer

I review the beers I drink

Sierra Nevada – Brut IPA

Clear with minimal head retention, smells of zesty, lemony hops. The taste is crisp and dry, with notes of crackers and mineral water, and a champagne like body. The finish is long and very dry but low in bitterness, with notes of herbal and subtle citrus hops and more mineral water in the background. Overall, not bad; it tries to get as close to champagne as possible, and succeeds, but Sixpoint’s Sparkler was more complex and the one I’d be more likely to buy again.
