Clear with solid head retention, smells of piney hops and spicy rye grains. The taste is bold and peppery, with tons of nuanced spice and caramel flavors, paired to a thick and almost chewy body. The finish is long and moderately bitter, with notes of resinous pine sap, bitter citrus peels, and spicy hops. Overall, it’s a very good, very dichotomous beer, with a bold and powerful malt body up front, and intense, oily hop flavor in the finish.
