Decent head retention, flashlight shows a deep ruby hue with lots of visible sediment floating around in the beer… Smells like Reese’s Puffs cereal, almost exactly like it, with perhaps a hint of coffee underneath. The taste is smooth and creamy, reminiscent of peanut butter, with additional notes of dark chocolate and coffee but it’s hard to shake that sense of a bowl of Reese’s Puffs; the body is full and velvety smooth. The finish is low to moderate in bitterness, with notes of smoked malts, chocolate, and subtle herbal hopping. Overall, I like it, it delivers on the name and remains remarkably drinkable. And hey, if you happen to be looking for a Reese’s Puffs beer, it’s also that too.
