Tanqueray & Fever Tree – “T&T”

Again, this recipe comes off the Tanqueray website. Smells of juniper and pine, with a hint of citrus. The taste is similar, very strong flavors of juniper and pine (I wonder how this gin would pair with Cascade hops…) with a sweet, citrusy background. The finish is long and fairly bitter (for a G&T), with notes of pine, citrus peel, and subtle licorice. Overall, this is a very bold gin, much more so than either Beefeaters, but this pairs very well with the flavors in tonic water and is very refreshing yet reminiscent of an IPA at times.

ABV:
IBU:
Malts:Gin: Juniper, Coriander, Angelica Root, and Licorice
Hops:Tonic: Congoan Quinine, Tanzanian Bitter Orange, Provencal "subtle botanicals", Gloucestershire Elderflower
Other:Garnish: Lime slices
