Ok, so before I start this review, a bit of education for everyone; “das Boot” means “the boat.” The correct term is for a boot is “der Stiefel.” That said, I will give this beer a fair review regardless of the name.
Clear with minimal head retention, smells of toasted bread and caramel, with a clean lager yeast character underneath. The taste is crisp with more toasted bread and some subtle spiciness matched with a thick, full body. The finish is moderate in duration and bitterness, with notes of herbal and spicy hops. Overall, a very good Vienna lager, very tasty and well balanced with great sessionability.
