One of the pharmacists I work with pick this up on a recent Vermont excursion and gave me some to review (thanks Matt!) Rumor has it many prefer this beer to Heady Topper, so I’m excited!
Moderately hazy with light head retention, smells of tropical citrus and wildflowers; very inviting. The taste is crisp and bready with lots of softly sweet and juicy flavors underneath of pineapple, citrus, and mangoes paired to a medium body. The finish is moderate in duration and bitterness, with some subtle flavors of citrus peel and floral hop notes along with some light residual sweetness. Overall, a very good beer, on par with Heady, but with perhaps a touch stronger malt profile and lower bitterness.
