I review the beers I drink

Sam Adams – Hefeweizen

Moderately hazy with minimal head retention, smells of funky, fruity, doughy yeast up front with soft floral and honey notes underneath. The taste is semi-sweet, with crisp wheat and sweet honey notes paired with a slick and light body. The finish is long but low in bitterness; herbal, spicy, and floral hops are detectable amid the myriad of phenolic yeast overtones. Overall, this beer is a classic “banana bread beer” that’s quite sessionable and pleasantly complex.
