I review the beers I drink

Sam Adams – Raspberry Lemon Gose

Lightly hazy with minimal head retention, smells of fresh raspberry and lemon with a hint of acidity underneath. The taste is crisp and bready up front, with the classic wheat bite complimenting the coriander; raspberry and lemon are merely peripheral flavors underneath it with a smooth, medium body. The finish is moderately long and low in bitterness, with a spicy hop character to balance the crisp wheat; the fruit flavors are again hidden underneath. Overall, it’s a tasty and sessionable wheat beer first, and a fruit beer second. While I do wish the fruit flavors were as strong as they were in the aroma, I appreciate that this isn’t overly sweet or tart.
