I review the beers I drink

Stone – Ripper

Clear (although rather dark for a pale ale) with solid head retention, smells of citrus and tropical fruits, with subtle pine and floral notes underneath. The taste is semi-sweet, with juicy citrus fruit flavors counterbalanced by a toasty, almost smoky malt character and a slick full body. The finish is long and moderately bitter, with notes of citrus peel, grapefruit juice, and soft pine to round things out. Overall, this is an excellent beer, definitely worth checking out, kinda feels like a fruitier 90 Minute IPA.

Side Note: This 12 pack from Stone features this image of a “trinity of hoppiness” on the box which , apart from my dislike of the use of cannabis terms to describe hop aroma, I find this to be extremely helpful in characterizing a beer’s hop profile and I wish this would become adopted across the entire industry.
