I review the beers I drink

Ommegang – Rare Vos

Hazy with a thick, rocky head (about ½ what’s pictured after 5 minutes); smells of musty Belgian yeast with some doughy malt and a hint of spices. The taste is crisp and peppery, with a zesty citrus note underneath and some funky/fruity notes from the yeast all paired to a full, effervescent body. The finish is dry but low in bitterness, some spicy/herbal hop notes but with a strong presence of the spices as well. Overall this is a fantastically well balanced yet complex yet extremely drinkable ale; I want a keg of this.
