I review the beers I drink

Leinenkugel’s – Orange Shandy

Extremely hazy with minimal head retention, smells of orange: juice, rind, oils, all of it; but not much else. The taste is a crisp, lightly spicy wheat beer base with a strong, sweet orange overtone permeating throughout, matched to a full body. The finish is very low in bitterness, no real hop flavor, but instead notes of orange zest and pith that play off the malts surprisingly well. Overall, I like it, I didn’t have high expectations, and it’s not an intense, complicated beer, it’s an approachable, drinkable hefeweizen with a full spectrum of orange aromas and flavors instead of hops.
