Dave Drinks Beer

I review the beers I drink

Saranac – American Pale Ale

Clear with a thin cap of head, smells of pine resin, grass, and unbaked bread. The taste is crisp with notes of toasted bread and minerals with a full body. The finish is low to moderate in bitterness, with lots of piney, citrusy hop flavors. Overall, it’s an APA, a good example of the style, but a bit outdated. Nowadays they’ve all been rebranded as “session IPAs.”
