I review the beers I drink

Sierra Nevada – Hop Bullet

So I felt like my glass collection was unfairly neglecting Sierra Nevada, so I bought a Spiegelau IPA glass with the SN logo, however it isn’t discernable in this photo unfortunately.

Crystal clear with excellent head retention, smells of soft sourdough and floral/citrus hop notes, a little reminiscent of a NE IPA. The taste is instantly bitter, with an oily hoppiness coating the tongue while the soft doughy malts fill in the gaps in flavor left by the hops; body is full. The finish is crushingly hoppy, dripping with pine and citrus peel flavors, moderately high in bitterness. Overall, if you like SN IPAs, you’ll dig this: it has massive hop flavor and a enough malts and body to tie it all together into a fun package, though personally I’d only want one or two in an evening.
