Clear amber color under flashlight, minimal head retention, smells of chocolate with faint coffee tones. The taste is crisp, with flavors of dark chocolate and cold-brew coffee, a light acidity adds to this, matched with (as the name suggests) a creamy full body. The finish is dry but low in bitterness, herbal hop notes mixed with a residual smokiness create a pleasant tapestry that slowly fades from the palate. Overall, well balanced, sessionable, it’s a great beer with classic lager drinkability, and although it does lack in complexity a bit as a result, it’s still an all-around solid beer.
