Tree House – Bright: Simcoe & Amarillo

So I guess most Tree House IPAs have many hop varieties layered meticulously, but the idea with the original Bright was just to showcase Mosaic; this one obviously features just the two Simcoe & Amarillo.

Very hazy, flashlight shows just a pineapple colored glow; minimal head retention, smells of pineapple, citrus, and perhaps strawberry. The taste is slightly sweet with flavors of papaya, banana, and sweet cream, matched with a smooth, creamy body. The finish is long but low to moderate in bitterness, with notes of citrus peel, lemon oil, and herbal hops. Overall this is an amazing IPA, I’ve never had anything quite like it, and it’s freaking delicious! Supremely “crushable.”
